Fortis takes over operations of Vivekanand Hospital in Uttar Pradesh
MUMBAI (makemystocks): Fortis Healthcare Ltd said it has taken over operations and management of the 150-bed Vivekanand Hospital and Research Centre at Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
The takeover is in like with its strategy to strengthen its presence in India's tier-II cities, Fortis said in a press release.
The hospital will be re-christened Fortis Vivekanand Hospital, and this addition takes the Fortis network to 51 hospitals across 13 states in the country, it said.
Earlier this month, Fortis had taken over operations and management of the 100-bed O.P. Jindal Hospital located within the campus of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd at Rajgarh in Chhattisgarh.
