MUMBAI (makemystocks): Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd's US subsidiary has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to develop anti-hypertension tablets Felodipine.
The tablet, a generic version of Astra Zeneca's drug Plendil, will be available in strengths of 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg, the company said.
Felodipine had registered sales of $97 million for the 12 months ending Sep 30, according to IMS Health.
The company will soon start marketing and distribution in the US and expects a successful launch based on the limited competition existing in the market, it said.
