Qatar mulls 24X7 TV weather channel

Mumbai (makemystocks): Qatar meteorology chiefs are exploring possibilities to launch a new TV channel dedicated to the weather, as to have said on Thursday.

Plans to launch a satellite TV channel in Qatar for weather reports and forecasts were revealed in comments made by a senior official of the Meteorology Department in The Peninsula.

Speaking at an event to mark the World Meteorological Day, Ahmed Abdullah, director of the Department said a feasibility study on the project was under way.
